It has been carefully renovated from basement to roof since 2019 and partially modernized (e.g. new windows) and is located about 10 minutes walk from Lake Älmten (see photos). The original condition, with creaky floors and old wallpaper, has not changed, it retains its essence. You have to like it a bit rustic.

Welcome to a traditional Swedish wooden house from the 19th century. It has been carefully renovated from basement to roof since 2019 and partly modernized (e.g. new windows) and is located about 10 minutes walk from Lake Älmten (see photos). The original condition with creaky floors and old wallpaper has not changed. So you have to like it a bit rustic.
In the afternoon, the sun's rays bathe the clay-clad entrance and the living room with the bright colors of the handmade front door windows. The afternoon sun invites you to relax on the antique wooden bench at the large dining table or on the terrace. The best way to end the cool winter evenings is in front of the fireplace in the living room or to venture through the garden to the fireplace-fed barrel sauna, next to the neighboring property of our German friends with their goat farm and their own cheese production.
On both floors there are 4 bedrooms (3 on the upper floor) with luxurious double beds and 3 single beds for children and 2 bathrooms (with underfloor heating).
Tips:
- Wear shoes with plastic soles due to possible splinters from the old wooden boards. Please bring your own children's shoes.
- When heating the fireplace, pay attention to possible nails in the wood.
- Tap water is potable (filtered and naturally treated).
- Pay attention to the instructions at home.
- Separate electricity bill (3 kronor/kWh and 50 kronor/week)
- The house and property are being improved little by little. Therefore, small debris, such as insulation wool, may remain around or on the house.
